The first teachers astrobiology workshop in New Zealand

was held in Rotorua, on the 24 of June 2018.

Thank you to our sponsor Katie Paul for generously donating the space for the meeting.

Prior to the beginning of the Astrobiology Australasia Meeting 2018, NZAN took the opportunity to host a teachers workshop. This was a very successful event with 10 teachers attending from around the region, including one that flew up from Wellington and another who came from France. The purpose of the workshop was to enable teachers to connect with academics and research scientists working in astrobiology.

Jenny Pollock, Dr Kathleen Campbell, Auckland University and Dr Mitch Schulte from NASA gave presentations in the workshop.
